Der Jahresbericht 2025 ist da! Er zeigt, was die Viva con Agua Community in einem Jahr voller Aktionen, Begegnungen und Geschichten gemeinsam erreicht hat: Über 158.000 Menschen wurden in unseren Projekten erreicht.

Wasser braucht Ideen, Menschen und starke Partnerschaften. Beim 4. MajiPreneurs Summit in Kampala bringt Viva con Agua sich als Partner in ein Netzwerk ein, das genau daran arbeitet: innovative und nachhaltige Lösungen für Wasser, Sanitärversorgung und Hygiene in Uganda voranzubringen.

Ein Container, der Wasser aufbereiten kann. Kunst, die auf seiner Außenwand entsteht. Musik, die Menschen zusammenbringt. Und eine Reise, die von Höchstädt über Hamburg bis nach Kibera in Nairobi führt –das ist YUNOMI.

20 Jahre Viva con Agua – und was für ein Auftakt! Mit Sounds4Water haben wir im Knust Hamburg unseren Geburtstag gefeiert und dabei vor allem eines gespürt: unsere Community. Menschen, die seit den Anfängen dabei sind, neue Gesichter und alle gemeinsam an einem Ort – genau das ist es, wofür wir losgehen. Und diese Geburtstagsfeier war erst der Anfang: Unser Jubiläumsjahr mit vielen weiteren Aktionen ist gestartet.

Stockholm wird vom 23. bis 27. August zum Treffpunkt der internationalen Wasser-Community. Die World Water Week ist eine der wichtigsten internationalen Plattformen für Austausch, Zusammenarbeit und Innovation rund um das Thema Wasser. Organisiert vom Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), bringt die Konferenz Menschen aus Wissenschaft, Politik, Zivilgesellschaft, Wirtschaft und Praxis aus unterschiedlichen Regionen und Disziplinen zusammen.

20 Jahre Viva con Agua, eine internationale Community, unzählige Ideen und eine Marke, die mit uns gewachsen ist. Jetzt bekommt diese Bewegung ein neues Gesicht. Mit einem neuen Design, neuen Farben, neuen Formen und einem neuen Claim: All in for Water.

Was bedeutet Wasser wirklich? Diese Frage hat Leonie Bartsch, Co-Host des Podcasts "True Love" und "Mord auf Ex", gemeinsam mit der Welthungerhilfe und Viva con Agua mit nach Kenia genommen. Unter anderem im Kitui County besuchte sie Wasserprojekte und sprach mit Menschen, deren Alltag sich durch den Zugang zu sauberem Wasser grundlegend verändert hat.

This week we are celebrating Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 – one of the most important days of the year for our global project work. Why? Because for millions of people worldwide, menstruation is still associated with shame, exclusion, a lack of access to hygiene products, and educational inequality. Because periods must not be an obstacle to education, health, or self-determination. And because we can only create a period-friendly world together.

The people in Yumbe, Uganda, urgently need access to clean drinking water. Together, we can change this situation.

Water for 300,000 people! When clean water flows, the lives of numerous communities are transformed. Children can go to school, diseases decrease, and hope grows with every drop. It is precisely this vision that drives our new initiative: the Lighthouse Project in Yumbe, Uganda.

On March 21 at 7:10 PM, stream4WATER went live. 27 hours later, one thing was clear: this was no ordinary livestream, it was a real movement. Over 50 talents took turns at the digital microphone, supported by a fantastic community that didn't just watch, but took action. The result? 1.25 million people reached and over 10,775 euros in donations. A weekend that impressively demonstrates just how much power, joy, and team spirit lie within digital activation!

For Natasha Mugala, attending school once a month was a problem. The 14-year-old is eager to learn, loves going to school, and has big plans for her future. But once a month, she had to stay at home—not because she was sick, but because her school did not have a safe toilet. There was no water and no way to take care of her hygiene with dignity. For many girls worldwide, this is everyday life. For Natasha, too, this was reality for a long time. This is Natasha's story, and it shows why access to water is so much more than just the fulfillment of a basic need.

The time has come: governments, businesses, and activists are sitting at the same table with the same goal: WATER FOR ALL. We were just fortunate enough to experience this energy first-hand! Agnes Fritz and Belinda Abraham represented Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.V. in Dakar, Senegal, at the UN Water High-Level Preparatory Meeting. And one thing is clear: real change only flows when we work together! These were intensive days filled with strategic discussions, political groundwork, and above all: meaningful human connections. Our takeaway from Dakar is clear: water policy has the greatest impact when it is bold, inclusive, and approached as a community project. In the first blog post, we introduced Finn Kasting and his idea: to run right across New Zealand – from the south to the north. Around 2,000 kilometers. A marathon every day. Back then, Finn was still at the beginning of his journey. Today, he is right in the middle of it. Finn has started. And with every step, he carries our shared vision forward: Water for all – all for water.

Zwei Wochen zu Fuß von Kassel nach Hamburg. 14 Etappen. Ein gemeinsames Ziel: sauberes Trinkwasser für alle Menschen. Zum 20-jährigen Jubiläum von Viva con Agua haben wir den WATER WALK auf die Straße gebracht und erlebt, wie viel in Bewegung kommt, wenn Menschen gemeinsam loslaufen.

Was haben Fußball, Nebelfänger und Landesgrenzen eigentlich mit Wasser zu tun? Ziemlich viel. In unserem neuen Buch 100 Karten über Wasser, das gemeinsam mit dem KATAPULT Verlag entstanden ist, schauen wir aus 100 verschiedenen Perspektiven auf unsere liebste Lebensgrundlage.

Ein Becher, ganz schön viel Wirkung: In der vergangenen Saison waren wir zum ersten Mal bei den Heimspielen der Veolia Towers Hamburg mit unserer Pfandsammelaktion dabei. Gemeinsam mit den Fans, dem Verein und vielen ehrenamtlichen Helfer*innen sind dabei 6.572 Euro für sauberes Trinkwasser zusammengekommen.

Am Sonntag fällt in Kassel der Startschuss für den WATER WALK: 350 km bis Hamburg, 14 Etappen, ein Spendenziel von 50.000 Euro. Als Ode an unseren ersten Wassermarsch von 2008 feiern wir damit 20 Jahre Viva con Agua – lauf, geh oder spende mit.

Drei Tage, unzählige Gespräche und Perspektiven aus der ganzen Welt: Unsere Kollegin und Institutional WASH Programs Managerin Belinda Abraham war gemeinsam mit Chris Wiebe und Arnd Boekhoff für Viva con Agua bei der World Water Week in Stockholm. Was bleibt nach drei Tagen Austausch mit Menschen aus der internationalen Wasser-Community? Für Belinda eine zentrale Erkenntnis: Gute Lösungen allein reichen nicht. Entscheidend ist, wie wir Wissen, Menschen und unterschiedliche Perspektiven miteinander verbinden. Hier teilt sie ihre persönlichen Insights aus Stockholm.

Das Verbrauchermagazin Öko-Test hat in seiner Ausgabe 07/2026 bundesweit 56 Medium-Mineralwässer ins Labor geschickt. Das Ergebnis für unser Viva con Agua Mineralwasser Kleinlaut (Medium) aus der Aquabella Quelle (Abfüller: Fürstlich Bissinger Auerquelle) in der Glas- Mehrwegflasche: die Bestnote „sehr gut“.

Unsere CEO Agnes Fritz war beim High-level Political Forum (HLPF) der Vereinten Nationen in New York dabei. In diesem Gastbeitrag berichtet sie von ihren Eindrücken, Begegnungen und Erkenntnissen und erklärt, warum es für Viva con Agua so wichtig ist, internationale Wasserpolitik aktiv mitzugestalten.

696 million people currently lack access to clean drinking water. Most NGOs respond to such figures with dismay and emotional, shocking images. We at Viva con Agua have chosen a different path: we respond with joy. This might sound provocative, but there is a clear conviction behind it. Social media is oversaturated with urgent appeals and moral pressure. The result is often not higher engagement, but numbness. People simply scroll past. We believe that real, sustainable change comes from positive activation and community.

For us at Viva con Agua, one thing is clear: everything starts with water. Without water and sanitation, we cannot achieve sustainable change in global issues such as equality, safety, and menstrual hygiene. When access to a safe water source or a private toilet is lacking, this has very concrete impacts on daily life. Globally, in 7 out of 10 households without running water, women or girls are responsible for fetching water.

Drinking water is—fortunately for people in Europe—part of everyday life. But how we drink water can achieve more than you might think. With Viva con Agua water dispensers, tap water in the office, in public institutions, or in the catering industry becomes a simple, sustainable, and impactful solution.
