696 million people currently lack access to clean drinking water. Most NGOs respond to such figures with dismay and emotional, shocking images. We at Viva con Agua have chosen a different path: we respond with joy. This might sound provocative, but there is a clear conviction behind it. Social media is oversaturated with urgent appeals and moral pressure. The result is often not higher engagement, but numbness. People simply scroll past. We believe that real, sustainable change comes from positive activation and community.
Digital engagement that truly moves
At stream4WATER in December 2025, we reached over 1.5 million people in 12 hours and collected more than 15,000 euros for clean drinking water. Not through guilt. Not through pressure. But through a principle we consistently live: Activate – Connect – Transform. This is not just a marketing strategy, but our architecture for genuine digital engagement.
What stream4WATER really is
At first glance, a 24-hour livestream sounds like a classic digital format. But it is much more than that. stream4WATER is a shared digital event – a moment in which many individual voices become a visible movement.
From artists and creators to musicians: Every person brings their reach and their own way of making water the topic. This year, Tara-Louise Wittwer, Maja Göpel, and Helge Schneider, among others, are participating. What is created in the process is loud, colorful, and full of positive energy. That is exactly where our strength lies: We build communities for water.
With the donations collected, we support specific projects, such as the ALL4WASH in Schools program in Uganda, which equips schools with clean drinking water and sanitation facilities, thereby sustainably improving not only health but also educational opportunities – especially for girls.
It starts again on March 21st!
For World Water Day 2026, we are going live on Twitch from 7:10 PM for at least 24 hours. It is not our first 24-hour stream, but every new marathon reminds us why we keep going. 696 million people without clean drinking water is not an abstract number. These are real lives that change when water flows into communities. World Water Day is the perfect moment to ask a clear question: If water is a human right – what is keeping us from making it a reality for everyone?
ALL IN FOR WATER – That means you, too!
Become part of the digital water movement. Whether with a donation, a contribution in the chat, a share – or simply by being there when we make waves for 24 hours.
Tune in and join in: Starting March 21st from 7:10 PM on Twitch
