With joy, creativity, and positive activism, we are committed to ensuring that people gain safe access to clean drinking water. But big visions require radical transparency. Anyone who supports us should know exactly what happens to the money.

We have set ourselves the ambitious goal of raising 2.5 million euros for the Lighthouse Project in Yumbe. The project officially runs from January 2026 to December 2030. We do not measure our impact with empty promises, but through real, traceable data and evaluations on the ground.

In the first year, we are focusing on a strong foundation. We will build crucial relationships with local authorities and committees before massively scaling up the infrastructure in the following years.

What happens in the first year of the project?

The year 2026 is the year of foundations. We are not only creating the first tangible improvements in people's daily lives, but we are also laying the groundwork for major change. Specifically, in the first year, this means for Yumbe, among other things:

• 5 new boreholes: These will directly reach about 1,500 people.

• 10 rehabilitated wells: Through repairs, 5,000 people will regain access to water.

• 2 water supply systems: These facilities will supply around 8,000 refugees in the Bidibidi settlement.

• Training and workshops: 75 people will be trained in water and sanitation committees, and we will launch environmental workshops.

• Targeted emergency aid: 200 households will receive ceramic filters for safe drinking water, and we will build 40 latrines for people with special needs.

How your donation makes a direct impact

• 25 euros fund a ceramic water filter for an entire household.

• 400 euros enable the construction of a household latrine for a particularly vulnerable family.

• 2,000 euros secure the rehabilitation of a broken well, restoring water to 500 people immediately.

• 7,500 euros cover the construction and full equipment of a completely new borehole well for 300 people.
