With SOUNDS4WATER, Viva con Agua returns to where it all began: St. Pauli. Amidst clubs, art, music, and community, we celebrate 20 years of joyful activism for clean drinking water and invite people to become a part of it. SOUNDS4WATER is more than a concert. It is a gathering of Music, Art & Culture. A place for encounter, exchange, and collective energy. Right where Viva con Agua had its origins and where an idea grew into a movement, we bring together people who want to make an impact together. Viva con Agua was born out of music. From the very first cup donations at concerts and festivals to this day: around a fifth of our annual donations are still generated by festival cups and the people behind them. Sounds 4 WATER brings this energy back to the stage and celebrates 20 years of music as a uniting force for water.

Art
Art has always been a part of the Viva con Agua movement. Over the course of 13 years, the Millerntor Gallery evolved into an international art festival that connects creativity, activism, and water. With Sounds 4 WATER, art once again becomes visible as a language that moves, inspires, and brings people together.

Whether on St. Pauli, at festivals, in crews, or in international projects: culture is created where people share responsibility, meet each other, and jointly raise their voices for water as a human right.

But we are not just looking back, we are looking forward with full energy: in parallel with our party, our biggest project to date is emerging – the Lighthouse Project in Uganda. Together, we want to provide around 300,000 people with access to clean drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene over the coming years. To achieve this, we are mobilizing 2.65 million euros. After 20 years, our drive remains unchanged: We build Communities for Water. With SOUNDS4WATER, we celebrate our movement while strengthening our international project work.
