Start: as soon as possible | 30 hours per week | Hamburg | €600 compensation per month

Who we are: Viva con Agua 

We are committed to global access to clean drinking water and decent sanitation. Our vision: "ALL IN FOR WATER" 

Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.V. operates globally to provide access to clean drinking water, hygiene, and toilets. To ensure that young people also learn about our work and projects, we also work with schools and extracurricular educational venues. move4Water is a project by Viva con Agua that sensitizes children and young people to the global drinking water situation and motivates them to take action for clean water. We visit schools and daycare centers, help set up sports tournaments and fundraising runs, give talks and workshops, and show how dedication can be fun. 

We are offering a 6-month compulsory internship as part of your studies starting at the next possible date, around April/May – September/October 2026. 

What you can expect:

  • You will hold presentations and workshops in schools and daycare centers. You stand in front of people of all ages and no longer have any major hesitation when presenting  

  • You will supervise sports activities and physical activities 

  • You are confident driving a large car in the city (class B driving license required) 

  • You enjoy chatting, inspiring people, and spreading a good mood 

  • You work in a structured manner, keep track of things, can stay calm and improvise  

  • You support the team in daily project activities: material preparation, logistics, co-creation of events 

  • You support the team in designing workshops, information sessions, and lectures  

  • You take over communication with schools and coordinate appointments  

  • You work with our large network of volunteers 

What you bring with you

  • Ideally, previous experience working with children and young people  

  • Openness, joy of communication, and a friendly, respectful manner 

  • Reliability and eagerness to take on responsibility 

  • Interest in global topics, development cooperation, and educational work 

  • Team spirit and motivation to shape projects together with schools, daycare centers, and communities 

  • Willingness to learn  

  • Willingness to get on a train and travel for various activities 

For this position, it is required that you are an enrolled student, that a compulsory internship is part of your curriculum, and that your German is at least at a B1 level to be able to communicate confidently in writing and speaking with your colleagues.
