In the Tanzanian districts of Mbulu and Babati, half of the rural population lacks access to safe drinking water. Become part of our community and help us provide 15 schools and communities with life-saving water and sanitation facilities.

When clean water flows, the lives of entire communities are transformed. Your regular contribution not only creates new water points, but also real prospects for the future:
Health for children and families
Access to clean drinking water sustainably protects local people from life-threatening bacterial infections and waterborne diseases.
More time for education
The daily hours spent fetching water are no longer necessary. This gives children, especially girls, the chance to go to school regularly and take their future into their own hands.
Economic opportunities
The time and health gained strengthen the entire community. Women in particular benefit from new economic opportunities and can better support their families.
Water means health
The positive effects of clean water are felt immediately. Kelvin Abdallah Mnyimwa, medical doctor and head of a health center in the Mbulu District, gave us an impressive report on our last project trip about how much the health of his community has already improved:
Since the construction of the first water points in Nahasey, diarrheal diseases have been reduced from a former 40 cases to one or two cases per month. Blood poisoning caused by bacterial infections, which often ends fatally for newborns and their mothers, has dropped virtually to zero.
Over 50% of the schools in the region still lack drinking water and sanitation facilities. With joyful activism and your support, we are tackling exactly that:
1. Creating sustainable infrastructure
We build rainwater harvesting systems, safe water pipes, and new boreholes that provide a permanent water supply to 15 additional schools and the surrounding villages.
2. Knowledge transfer and further training
We train local stakeholders in sustainable water management, enabling the community to maintain the new facilities independently and in the long term.
3. Hygiene workshops with joy
Using our universal language of art, music, and sports, we bring vital hygiene practices directly into classrooms, turning learning into a positive experience.
