A Weekend Full of Passion and Inspiration

Already on Friday evening, the Hamburg crew demonstrated how much cohesion there is in our movement with a colorful program. "The creativity and love that went into the evening's program shows once again how much passion and attention to detail goes into shaping our community," rejoiced Olea Overhage.

On Saturday, Rouven Schütte took us with fresh impressions on the last project trip to Uganda. The enthusiasm in the room was palpable – a moment that reminded us all why we are committed. Because at Viva con Agua, it's not just about joy and community, but about real, life-changing impact. Almost 1,000 volunteers are donating their time in 2025 to keep clean water flowing. Ella Monden put it in a nutshell: "It is always magical to observe the moment when volunteers connect with the vision of Viva con Agua and become aware of the impact of their dedication."

Growing Together: Impulses for Our Activism

The rest of the morning was characterized by active co-creation. Almost 60 volunteers pooled their forces and worked on specific topics for our shared future:

• Motivation & Impact: Why do I volunteer – and what impact do I really make with it?

• Crew & Connection: What strengthens our community and sense of belonging?

• Mental Health & Selfcare: How do we stay healthy and motivated during our engagement?

• Creative Activism: How do we create real impact through art, fun, and actions?

• Appreciation and Recognition: Who do volunteers receive appreciation from – for what and in what form?

"Ideas flow best through exchange. Not only do the volunteers take away a lot of inspiration – I also gained impulses for my work as a volunteer coordinator," summarized Olea Overhage after the workshops.

A Big THANK YOU to the Entire Community

After setting the course for the further development of the association together in the afternoon, the highlight of the weekend followed: the big THANK YOU PARTY! The award for outstanding commitment 2025 went to the only ones who truly deserved it: EVERYONE. Viva con Agua is strong as a community – everyone plays their part. Our "Tropfi" award even went on a secret journey through our network during the evening and can now be followed on Instagram.

Nele Kim Lüppen, project manager of VIVA TOGETHER, summed up the magic of the weekend perfectly: "For me, the most beautiful thing is when people come together and connection is made. For me, VIVA TOGETHER was exactly that: a space of encounter for everyone who is connected through the overarching vision of WATER FOR ALL – ALL FOR WATER. A big THANK YOU to every single person who carries this vision to the outside world day after day. WE ARE WATER."
