For us, this is not just a slogan, but the heartbeat that connects the entire Viva con Agua ecosystem. With a unique mix of our non-profit association, innovative social businesses, strong foundation structures, and an incredibly passionate community, we create inspiring platforms for collective engagement.
What we call an ecosystem is a living organism. It is constantly evolving through collaboration, creativity, and joyful activism – always with the goal of providing people worldwide with safe access to clean drinking water. In this three-part blog series, we take you on a journey through our ecosystem.
The Core: Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.V.
Since its founding in 2006, the association Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.V. has come first. It is the origin of our movement and the foundation for everything we have built together. We advocate worldwide for access to clean drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH).
What makes our association so special:
Focus on WASH projects: Water, sanitation, and hygiene are the essential building blocks for sustainable development and health.
Positive activism: Through music, art, and sport, we not only generate donations, but we also transform with joy and creativity the perception of what social engagement can look like.
Community engagement: Over 15,000 people have volunteered for Viva con Agua so far. Together we live our vision every day.

WATER WALK 2026: Am Sonntag laufen wir los
Am Sonntag fällt in Kassel der Startschuss für den WATER WALK: 350 km bis Hamburg, 14 Etappen, ein Spendenziel von 50.000 Euro. Als Ode an unseren ersten Wassermarsch von 2008 feiern wir damit 20 Jahre Viva con Agua – lauf, geh oder spende mit.

20 Jahre Viva con Agua – und was für ein Auftakt! Mit Sounds4Water haben wir im Knust Hamburg unseren Geburtstag gefeiert und dabei vor allem eines gespürt: unsere Community. Menschen, die seit den Anfängen dabei sind, neue Gesichter und alle gemeinsam an einem Ort – genau das ist es, wofür wir losgehen. Stockholm wird vom 23. bis 27. August zum Treffpunkt der internationalen Wasser-Community. Die World Water Week ist eine der wichtigsten internationalen Plattformen für Austausch, Zusammenarbeit und Innovation rund um das Thema Wasser. Organisiert vom Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), bringt die Konferenz Menschen aus Wissenschaft, Politik, Zivilgesellschaft, Wirtschaft und Praxis aus unterschiedlichen Regionen und Disziplinen zusammen.
