	Viva con Agua hält den Daumen raus!

09.07.2008: Aktuelle Planänderung - Aufgrund der noch bis 14.09. stattfindenden Weltausstellung Expo 2008 in Saragossa zum Thema „Wasser und nachhaltige Entwicklung“ haben wir das Ziel unserer Hitchhike-Tour nach Saragossa verlegt! Letzter Stop vor Saragossa wird natürlich Barcelona sein.

Startpunkt am 23.8. um 11:00 Uhr am Millerntor Stadion beim St. Pauli Wappen.

Die Firma hat den Deutschen Pavillion der Expo gebaut.

Zur Idee:

Wenn auch du schon immer mal Lust hattest, dich ausgestattet mit Pappschild, Edding 3000 und unwiderstehlichem Charme im Morgengrauen an den Straßenrand zu stellen und deinen Daumen dem Sonnenaufgang entgegenzustrecken, erfüllst du die besten Vorausetzungen, um beim Viva con Agua HitchHike Race 2008 mitzumachen!

Innerhalb von 2 Wochen geht es mit mehreren Zwischenstationen – Freiburg, Lausanne, Nizza, Montpellier und Barcelona - runter bis in die Hauptstadt Aragoniens. Das Prinzip ist einfach und das Erlebnis unvergesslich.

Das Rennen soll allen Teilnehmern die größtmöglichen Freiheiten garantieren, daher beschränken sich die Regeln darauf, ein Beweisfoto mit Tag und Uhrzeit vom vorgegeben Ort zu machen. Das Foto wird dann später zur Punktevergabe und Kürung der Etappen- und Tagessieger benutzt.

Die jeweils ersten 3 Teams erhalten in absteigender Reihenfolge 5,3 und 2 Punkte, woraus sich am Schlusspunkt in Saragossa der Gesamtsieger ermitteln lässt.

Auf welchem Weg und mit welchen Umwegen die Teams den jeweiligen Treffpunkt erreichen, ist ganz und gar ihnen überlassen.

Alle 2 bis 3 Tage treffen sich die 2er-Teams an einer ausgemachten Stätte am jeweiligen Zwischenstopp, verbringen je nach Lust und Laune die Tage und Nächte zusammen und erleben sicher eine gute Zeit miteinander.

Dem Gesamtsieger aus 2 Wochen Trampen, Kultur und Spaß winken ewiger Ruhm, grenzenlose Huldigung, sowie Tickets für ein Spiel des FC St. Pauli.

Wozu das Ganze?

Neben garantiert viel Spaß geht es uns um klimafreundliches Reisen und um die Erweiterung des Viva con Agua Netzwerkes. Trampe Viva con Agua (VcA) nach Europa!! Es geht darum, speziell junge Menschen zu sozialem Engagement zu motivieren und für die weltweite Trinkwasserproblematik zu sensibilisieren.

Konkrete Hilfe spielt bei Viva con Agua eine tragende Rolle. Mit dem Hitch Hike Race soll dazu beigetragen werden, die Trinkwasserprojekte von Viva con Agua zu realisieren. Welches der vielen Projekte rund um den Globus es konkret sein wird, erfahrt ihr rechtzeitig vor dem Start des "Wettrennens."

Bewährter Partner bei der Umsetzung ist die Welthungerhilfe, die uns bei der Realisierung von verschiedensten Trinkwasserprojekten in Afrika und Lateinamerika zur Seite steht.

Wie?

Durch deine Anmeldung und dem Startgeld von nur 15 Euro und dem damit verbundenen Starterpaket (Infos zu den Städten, zur Tour, Notrufnummern, Adressen etc.) leistest du einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Realisierung unserer Trinkwasserprojekte.

Des Weiteren besteht die Möglichkeit, sich von Oma & Opa, Tante & Onkel oder dem Bäcker in deiner Stadt für jeden zurückgelegten Kilometer unterstützen zu lassen. Das heißt bei einem gesetzten Cent und zurückgelegten 2000 km wären das weitere 20 Euro Spende.

Go and hitchhike with Viva con Agua!

09.07.2008: Slight change of plans - because of the Expo 2008 (Motto:"Water and Sustainable Development") in Saragossa we will move our destination to Saragossa! Last stop before Saragossa will be of course Barcelona.

Start: 23rd August, 11:00 a.m., Millerntor stadium, Hamburg-St. Pauli, in front of the stone shield

From the 23rd August 2008 onwards teams of two people from all around Germany will make their way to Saragossa! Hold out your thumb and be part of the journey!

Didn’t you always feel like hitchhiking at sunrise, armed only with a cardboard direction sign, a marker, irresistible charm and your thumb? Then you are just the perfect person to participate in the Viva con Agua Hitchhike Race 2008!

The Idea:

Within in two weeks we will make our way down to the Capital of Aragon, Saragossa! The trip will include several stops in Freiburg, Lausanne, Nizza, Montpellier and Barcelona. The idea is simple and the fun will be unforgettable!

Since this is a Fun Race we want to guarantee the biggest freedom of choice to all “racers”. That’s why the only rule is to take a snap shot that can give us proof of the day and the time of the town you have arrived in. The photos will be used later to announce the winner of the different stages, and who has won the daily competition.

The three teams who arrive first at the different stages will get either five (for the first team), three (for the second team) or two (for the third team) points. So, in Saragossa we will know who will be the first champion of the Viva con Agua Hitchhike Race 2008!

It’s up to the teams if they want to take a (So called) shortcut, a scenic route or just the fastest way to get the different cities.

The teams will meet around every third day in the different cities which gives them the opportunity to tell their stories, have a drink together and basically have a good time!

The overall winner of the two weeks of hitching, culture and fun will win endless fame, glory and two tickets for a game of FC St. Pauli.

So what is this all for?

Besides the guaranteed fun, this about environmentally friendly travelling and the extension of the Viva con Agua network. Hitchhike with Viva con Agua (VcV) into Europe! It is about motivating young adults to be socially aware and to encourage people’s sensitivity towards the dire drinking water problem that is facing our world today.

You will be specifically helping Viva con Agua – which is a wonderful thing to do. This race will help to realise one of the many drinking water projects of Viva con Agua all over the world. We will inform you in due about which certain project you'll support by joining the race.

A strong partner in the execution of these plans is the Welthungerhilfe, who advised us on the different drinking water projects that are being set up in Africa and Latin America and helped us to understand the importance of the wells in the survival of the Auhya Pihni.

How?

When you register for the race and we have received the small registration fee of €15 we will provide you with a starter pack, including the Hitch Information Pack (giving you information about the different cities you will visit, the tour, emergency numbers and useful addresses etc.).

Once registered you will not only be playing a big role in the realisation of our projects, but you will join us in the knowledge that what we are all doing is actively helping to provide better water supplies for thousands of people less fortunate than ourselves. Furthermore, there is the opportunity of getting sponsored by your grandparents, your aunt and uncle or maybe the local shop for every single kilometre you travelled. Only one cent per kilometre would add up to €20 when you travelled 2000 kilometres.

Besides registering on time you have to be 18 years old, or over. You should be aware of the fact that you and your partner will be travelling on your own and VcA cannot insure you. You are responsible for all your travel expenses.
